These are indicative levels of development which will indicate whether a site is fully developed. They have been produced based on the average lease size for each species.
An Oyster site will be considered to be fully developed when the lease holder can demonstrate that at least 7.5 Ha of a 10 Ha site contains structures with 22.5 Km BST longline or 7.5 Km of racking or equivalent.
A Scallop site will be considered to be fully developed when the lease holder can demonstrate that at least: 15 Ha of a 20 Ha site contains structures with 30 Km of longline on the site, or equivalent.
A Mussel site will be considered to be fully developed when the lease holder can demonstrate that at least 15 Ha of a 20ha site contains structures with 30KM of longline on site or equivalent.
A Finfish site will be considered to be fully developed when the lease holder can demonstrate that on a 20 Ha site at least 8 cages with diameter of 40 m with minimum of 11250 Salmon, Yellowtail Kingfish or Snapper, or 1500 Tuna or equivalent.
