Landowners interested in discovering more about farm forestry will now be able to access information through a new walking trail opened on 29 October 2008 at Kersbrook by the Chief Executive PIRSA with the help of PIRSA Forestry, 200 local school children, farm foresters and local recreation groups.
The Kersbrook Farm Forestry Arboretum Walking Trail is part of the surrounding Gumeracha Farm Forestry Demonstration area. Planted in 1997 it contains a collection of 40 different tree species chosen for their growth potential and timber qualities in the Mount Lofty Ranges region.
The Arboretum is also part of the surrounding Gumeracha Farm Forestry Demonstration Area, which includes demonstration tree plantings, seed production areas, research trials and recreational areas.
