The Wilgerup hematite deposit is located 30 km SE of the township of Lock on central Eyre Peninsula.

Centrex commenced RC exploration and resource definition drilling at Wilgerup on 6 September 2006. By February 2007, 12 307 m had been completed.

Resource definition drilling at 80 x 20 m and selected 40 x 20 m drill spacing was considered sufficient to support estimation of an Indicated Resource.

In February–March 2007 four HQ3 diamond holes (total 604 m) were drilled to provide core samples for ore characterisation test work.

Further resource definition drilling occurred from 25 June to 31 August 2007 with the completion of 41 RC holes for a total of 3788 m.

In November 2007 Centrex began 3000 m of resource definition infill drilling at 40 x 20 m spacing to determine a Joint Ore Resource Committee compliant Indicated and Measured Resource for Wilgerup North so that feasibility studies can begin.

Exploration drilling (13 RC holes for a total of 1020 m) was also undertaken at the nearby South Hematite Pod, which has a possible strike length of 1000 m.

A development plan for an export facility at Port Lincoln was submitted in February 2009. Conditional approval to establish the bulk-handling facilities at Port Lincoln was granted in October 2009.
