Participants in the IRES (Irrigation Recording and Evaluation System) project using version 2 or later of the software can obtain weather data for use in the program from this web page.
The links allow you to download separate data files for Rainfall and ETo (evapotranspiration) from selected weather stations in the irrigation regions of South Australia.
Importing SILO forecast data into IRES v2.5.
SILO has changed the order that forecast data is displayed on the web page. IRES v2.5 will still read a downloaded SILO forecaster text file without crashing but the resultant forecast daily ETo which is calculated from the raw data via the embedded Penman-Monteith algorithm is incorrect. The problem will be fixed in the new version IRES 3.0 to be released early in 2008.
